A Passion for Sports
The Boone area is a prime location for sports, and that starts with Appalachian State University's exciting teams and facilities. The Boone Area also boasts state-of-the-art complexes and venues for almost any sporting event imaginable. The Watauga County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) is always looking for new, high quality sporting events. As part of that effort, the TDA offers promotional grant programs for deserving hosts.
