Camping in the world-class outdoor beauty of the NC High Country is an inspiring adventure that doesn't necessarily require “roughing it." There are many high quality private campgrounds in the Boone Area where you can pull in with a luxrious RV or simply pitch a tent. A number are open year-round. There are even RV hook-ups available in winter at Appalachian Ski Mtn. for the camper-equipped skier! And of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers National Park Service tent and RV sites.

Open year round. Complete camping & RV facilities, including fully furnished cabin rentals, on slope of Grandfather Mountain bordered by Watauga River at an elevation of 3200 ft. We are within 15 miles of all major area attractions and ski resorts. Full hookup sites; primitive tent sites; cabin rentals; one camping cabin. Three bathhouses with hot showers. Camp store, firewood, ice, laundry, pay phone, hiking trails and playground. Pets allowed on leash in campground, but not in cabin rentals.
