Some of the most skilled performers in the world come to the Boone area to showcase their abilities.  Whether you wish to enjoy a play, musical, or instrumental event, the High Country has a myriad of choices for the fine arts lover.  The Hayes Performing Arts Center in Blowing Rock is brand new and state-of-the-art.  Similarly, Appalachian State University’s Performing Arts Series welcomes some of the most well-known virtuosos to the campus.  While some of the shows are ticketed, many are free of charge and welcome families!
