As stated in the Bylaws of the Watauga County TDA, the Authority shall consist of six (6) members appointed to three (3) year terms by the County Board of Commissioners.  The current Watauga County TDA Board of Directors is made up of the following members:

 

  • Robert Holton, Chairman
  • Tony Gray, Vice-Chair 
  • Lisa Martin
  • Mike Hall
  • Connie Baird
  • Matt Vincent

 

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WATAUGA COUNTY TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING PUBLIC COMMENT

 
The Watauga County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 5:30pm at the Watauga County Commissioners' Board Room at 814 West King Street in Boone, NC. Watauga County TDA staff will provide a presentation on a proposed state grant to the Recreation Trails Program that could provide funds to develop river access improvements at the Pine Run Road bridge and at Green Valley Park on the South Fork New River. The 2012 meeting schedule of the Watauga County TDA Board of Directors is as follows:

 

  • January 10                 2pm                  January 17 @ 2pm (weather back-up)
  • March 15               8:30am               (Note:  This is a Thursday meeting date)
  • May 8                   8:30am
  • June 12                 8:30am
  • September 11        8:30am
  • November 13         8:30am

 

The WCTDA typically meets the second Tuesday of January, March, May, June, September and November.  Most meetings are held at the Watauga County Administrative Building, 814 W. King Street and usually begin at 8:30am
