An Appalachian Summer Festival is a multi- and inter-disciplinary arts festival presenting and producing programs in music, theatre, dance, film and visual arts.  This year’s line-up features Blood, Sweat & Tears, Ralph Stanley & Cherryholmes, Golden Dragon Acrobats, Patti LuPone, Outdoor Sculpture Walk, Film Series, and much, much more.

In recent years, the festival has attained national stature—and is now regarded as one of the country's leading regional arts festivals. For nearly a decade, the festival has been named one of the "Top Twenty Events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society and attendance exceeds 26,000.
